There are not enough good things in this world, but when they come along it makes them all the more outstanding.

I’ve just got back from my second annual Summercamp event. A 3 day event for people who aspire to make a positive difference in the world, organised by the amazing The Happy Startup School.

The Happy Startup School are not just a community of people who connect around a particular industry. What they have created is far more extraordinary.

As a community member, throughout the year, I get to expand my world by connecting and sharing knowledge with brilliant people around the world.

As an aspiring entrepreneur, I get access to all the tools and support I need to make my dreams become a reality.

At their annual Summercamp, magic happens.

Here, each September in the company of 150 friends many new, some now old, I get to experience a sense of belonging like nothing else I have or likely will ever experience.

Business events, by and large, are shit. People in suits, trading cards; mingle with sales in mind. At Summercamp, the suits are welly boots, the cards are powerful stories and the intention of every conversation is compassion, encouragement and growth.

Here, it seems every conversation, can change everything.

We all recommend things in life. A new app perhaps, an interesting podcast, a blender which blends things. But for as long as I live, I will recommend the Happy Start up school and it’s annual Summercamp event. It’s like me recommending air for your lungs.

In the space of 72 hours I provide a guarantee that you will have:

If you can’t tell already, I think it’s really rather special. It’s not a cult, though there is hugging and closing your eyes involved.

It’s a glorious reminder that people can do amazing things in the world, and that you, yes you, are one of them.
